white tulips

by Erin Williams on August 2, 2012

She wanted a set of delicate white tulip watercolors to go in her chocolate colored dining room.

To coordinate with her wallpaper in the adjoining enclosed porch. Add some ivy, harmonize with the earthy colors of her home, but in softer hues.

A lavender and gold butterfly for transformation.

But mostly I sense she wants feminine softness and soothing from a sometimes harsh life- a feeling of peace and subtle vibrations.

And so I put this intention into the painting.

Not my usual color scheme but it’s painted with love and wishes for healing.

I’ll send it to her in upstate NY today and I hope it brightens her day~
